Spermatogonia are stem cells that through a processes of multiplication and differentiation give rise to sperm cells. There are three types of spermatgonia-- Type A-dark, Type A-pale, and Type B. Type A-pale spermatogonia give rise to type B spermatogonia which give rise to primary spermatocytes. Primary spermatocytes give rise to secondary spermatocytes which differntiate into sperms. Secondary spermatocytes are the first haploid cells produced in the process of spermatogenesis.
