A={1,3,5,7} B={1,2,3} C={2,3,4,5,6} TO FIND A∪(B∩C) Let's first find B∩C B∩C = {1,2,3} ∩ {2,3,4,5,6} = {2,3} (common elements of B&C) Then A∪(B∩C) = {1,3,5,7} ∪ {2,3} = {1,2,3,5,7} (All the elements of A and (B∩C) which are not in A) Thus A∪(B∩C)={1,2,3,5,7}
