Work Step by Step

We have to graph a function $f$ so that we have: $\displaystyle\lim_{x\rightarrow 1} f(x)=\infty$ $\displaystyle\lim_{x\rightarrow 3^{-}} f(x)=0$ $\displaystyle\lim_{x\rightarrow 3^{+}} f(x)=-\infty$ Therefore the left hand and right hand limits in $x=1$ must both be $\infty$, therefore we draw a vertical asymptote $x=1$. Graph the function:
