Rise 4 from the the point at (4, -1) 5. Run -6 from that point to get to the second point (-2,3). 6. $\frac{rise}{run}$ = $\frac{-4}{6}$, simplify = $\frac{-2}{3}$ (the negative can go either with the top or bottom number or outside, indicating the general fraction is negative).
