## Algebra: A Combined Approach (4th Edition)

The following ordered pairs are from completing the table for the nonlinear equation $y=|x|$. $(0,0),(1,1),(−1,1),(2,2),(−2,2)$ These ordered pairs were plotted and connected. The resulting graph is shown in the following image.
To complete the table, input the values of $x$ already provided into the function $y=|x|$. The outputs, which are values of $y$, are then filled into the table. For example, for $x=−2$, $y$ is found as follows: $y=|x|=|−2|=2$ $y=2$ And thus the ordered pair $(−2,2)$ is obtained. Once all the ordered pairs are found for the given x values, they are plotted and the points are connected to create the given graph.
