This equation has no solution.

Work Step by Step

By looking at the equation, |x|=-4, we realize that the equation has no solution. The equation has no solution because the absolute value of an equation can never be negative. This is because we could plug absolutely any number into the equation, positive or negative, but the final result once the bars are removed would be positive, therefor we can not find a solution to a negative number.
