Chapter 4 - Quadratic Functions and Equations - 4-2 Standard Form of a Quadratic Function - Lesson Check - Page 206: 7

Answer

Vertex form: If the function is written in form of $a(x-h)^2 + k$, the vertex is just (h,k), no further evaluation needs to be done. Standard form: $y = ax^2+bc+c$, then x of the vertex has to be calculated via: $x = \frac{-b}{2a}$, and then the y of the vertex is calculated by finding f(x) for that x.
