In order to graph an inequality, shade all values on the number line that are solutions to the inequality. (For instance, if we are given $x\gt 4$, then we would shade all numbers greater than 4.) Also, note that we do not shade the circle at the beginning of the shaded region if that number is not included as a solution. Note, the different colors of the shading are not significant but are added for clarity.
