## Algebra 1

We first create common denominators for the two fractions: $\frac{8x+6}{6} - \frac{6x-3}{6}=3$ We now can subtract the numerators of the two fractions, and then can solve: $\frac{2x+9}{6}=3 \\\\ 2x+9 = 18 \\\\ 2x=9 \\\\ x=4.5$
