Chapter 4 - An Introduction to Functions - 4-4 Graphing a Function Rule - Practice and Problem-Solving Exercises - Page 257: 20

Answer

The graph is displayed underneath

Work Step by Step

*The equation is already arranged in the y=mx+b form. To graph, you start by plotting the y-intercept which is the b-value. You plot the point (0,$\frac{1}{2}$) and then look at the slop. In this equation the slop is $\frac{1}{2}$ and it is negative and since slope is rise over run, you go down 1 unit and right 2 to graph the equation y=-$\frac{1}{2}$+$\frac{1}{2}$
