Work Step by Step

The graph for the function y=5+2x was graphed by plotting the y intercept at (0,5) and the points were plotted where going across right 1 unit and going up by 2 units. The points were also plotted by going left by 1 unit and going down by 2 units because the slope of the graph is 2. The slope is 2 because the function is in the form of y=mx+b where m(slope)=2 and b which is the y-interecpt equals 5.
