$2+\frac{1}{3}t=1+\frac{1}{4}t$ Rewrite the fractions to have common denominators. $2+\frac{4}{12}t=1+\frac{3}{12}t$ Subtract each side by $\frac{3}{12}t$ $2+ \frac{1}{12}t =1$ Subtract 2 from each side to get the variable by itself. $\frac{1}{12}t =-1$ Multiply each side by the reciprical (12) $t=-12$
