Answer

$10\frac{7}{15}$

Work Step by Step

We can add the whole numbers, 6 and 3, together to get 9. We now must add the fractions. In order to add or subtract fractions, we start by making a common denominator (bottom of the fraction). Thus, we multiply 2/3 by 5/5 and 4/5 by 3/3 (this is legal because 5/5 and 3/3 equal one) to obtain: $\frac{10}{15}$+($\frac{12}{15}$)=$\frac{22}{15}=1\frac{7}{15}$ We add 9 to this to get an answer of $10\frac{7}{15}$
