With fractions, we multiply the numerator (top of the fraction) of the first fraction by the numerator of the second fraction and the denominator (bottom of the fraction) of the first fraction by the denominator of the second fraction. Thus, we obtain: $\frac{5}{8}$$\times$$(-\frac{2}{8})$=-$\frac{10}{64}$=-$\frac{5}{32}$ Recall, a negative times a positive or a positive times a negative is a negative.
