6 ohm resistance is in parallel with 12 ohm resistance so $6*12/(6+12)$ = 4 ohm 4 ohm, 2 ohm,2 ohm are in series connection so $4+2+2$ = 8 ohm 4 ohm parallel with 8 ohm so $4*8/(4+8)$= 2.66667ohm 2.66667 ohm parallel with 4 ohm so $2.66667*4/(2.66667+4)$=1.6 ohm Now 3ohm, 4 ohm, 1.6 ohm are connected in series so $3+4+1.6$=8.6 ohm
