Work Step by Step

The principle of integrity requires that I report my revenue from gambling. Accordingly, for the sake of ethics, I would report the earnings and remit all the tax liabilities due. Alternatively, I could avoid reporting my earnings. Under this option, I would consider the casino's failure to record my details a legal loophole that warrants tax avoidance. This option may seem unethical because I will violate the requirements of Form 1040. Besides, integrity requires that I engage in the reporting even though the earnings were not recorded when I got them.
