Murder and Violence

Jean McConville is violently abducted in front of her ten children. As she is helplessly dragged on the ground to a van parked outside, her children desperately cling on to her legs. Jean will never again be seen dead or alive for about thirty years until her remains are discovered on a shoreline. Jean was most likely tortured, raped, murdered, and disposed of in the sea. The Irish Republic Army committed atrocious crimes against its people as they engaged the British soldiers in a Cold War.

Espionage

At the time of the abduction, the Irish Republic Army was engaged in a war that sought to drive out British soldiers from Ireland. Jean was suspected of harboring and aiding British soldiers by his neighbors. The IRA happened to intercept these suspicions and swiftly acted on them. An order to abduct Jean came from Gerry Adams who enlisted the help of Hughes and Price. Adams was briefly questioned by authorities when the truth came to light and was later released. The government was responsible for countless abductions and murders during the campaign to throw out British soldiers from Ireland.

Espionage

Jean is a mother of ten children who depend on her for survival. However, when she is abducted, never to return, his firstborn son has to bear the responsibility of taking care of his nine siblings. As the eldest, he has the responsibility of leading these children who are forever traumatized by the loss of their mother. These children have to live every day around people they vividly recognized as their mother’s abductors. For thirty years they live with the hope that their mother might one day return home. Their hope is painfully crushed when her remains are discovered.
