Sardonically, instead of empowering students and teachers, the leaders use students as empty accounts from which they later cash out their dividends. Therefore, the education system is tailored in such a way to make students believe that the leaders in place are God-chosen and their policies are correct.

Politics in the text symbolizes marginalization. Political office is for the rich and influential members of society. Consequently, those in power have tested the sweetness of corruption and oppressing the poor. The poor are marginalized and put in a particular corner of the social spectrum.
