Allusions

The film is an allusion to the reality that our choices have a deep impact on those that we keep closes to us. Central to the plot is how the truth can be manipulated in such a way that we believe even a lie to be reality when we don't search out the truth and find it for ourselves.

Paradox

Langda is the qualified, seasoned successor to Omi. Paradoxically, Omi appoints Kesu over Langda to be his successor.

Parallelism

The MMS sex scandal parallels Langda's use of a sexual scandal between Kesu and Dolly to take down Omi.
