    Apartheid Artists

    Kind of Activity:

    Artistic Response

    Objective:

    Students will learn about different artists that draw inspiration from life in an apartheid-society. Students will be able to connect the play to real-life, contemporary life and people. Students will be able to depict core aspects of the play in pictorial form.

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.7; CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.W.11-12.9

    Structure:

    This activity is split into 2 major parts. The first part involves students researching one of the following artists:
