    Character Analysis and Interviews

    Group Work

    Objective:

    Students will use textual evidence to create a character analysis

    Common Core Standards:

    CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RL.9-10.1

    Structure:

    Divide the class into six groups, assigning each group one of the short stories that have been read from the book thus far ("Flexion," "Ashes," "Static," "Laminex and Mirrors," "Tender," "White Spirit," "Like a House on Fire," "Five-Dollar Family", and "Little Plastic Shipwreck"). The groups will complete a character analysis for two of the characters in their story.
