Objective:

Students will perform their prepared scenes for the class

Common Core Standards:

CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.SL.11-12.6

Structure:

The groups will be performing the scenes they prepared. Based on their scene, the students are allowed to elaborate upon or shorten the dialogue or passages within the novel. It is up to the discretion of the group to include the lines and interactions they think are most relevant to conveying the characters and story. The groups should also hand in a written explanation of why they did or did not include certain parts of the text in their scenes.
