Haroun and the Sea of Stories Lesson Plan

Bringing in Technology

In the Day Two activity “All We Cannot See,” students will use PowerPoint to create a presentation about something they believe to be real even though they have not personally witnessed it.

In the Days Three, Four, Five, and Six activity “Mapping the Story Moon,” students may use a computer illustration program to create a map if they do not wish to draw it by hand.

In the Day Five activity “Names with Meaning,” students will use Google to search for the meanings of their names.

In the Day Six activity “What’s the use of stories that aren’t even true?”, students may create a short film or PowerPoint presentation to convey what they believe to be the purpose of storytelling.
