Billy Woodward
Billy Woodward belongs to an aboriginal tribe, but he tries to fit in the world of white people. He excels in the study and sports in his university. He feels ashamed of his aboriginal background but, after meeting an aboriginal hitchhiker Darcy, Billy's views change; he decides to return to his roots. After coming home, It becomes difficult for him to fit in the tribe. One day his brothers incriminate him in a mugging and being related to the aboriginal tribe, police throws him in the jail.
Herbie
Herbie is a schoolboy who is related to aboriginal background. His white classmates bully him. Davey, a white boy, witnesses Herbie's death caused by his classmates, yet Davey doesn't feel any kind of remorse for Herbie, but after realizing the pain of Herbie's mother, he regrets not helping Herbie escape rom his bullies.
