Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone Background

Diana Gabaldon Outlander series is her most renowned project. The ninth book in that series, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone, was released in 2021. Like the other novels in the series, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone follows Claire Randall and Jamie Fraser, who had been apart for nearly 20 years as a result of the Jacobite uprising of 1743. Finally reunited and rebuilding their home at Fraser’s Ridge, the two are once again at risk of being split up because of the American Revolutionary War. At the same time, Brianna and Roger have similar worries about the soon-to-be-raging Revolutionary War and some of the issues and perils involved with living in the 1700s, including disease and starvation. What will Claire, Jamie, Brianna, and Roger do? How will they deal with the war?

The Outlander television series originally premiered in 2014 on the Starz network to exceptionally positive reviews. No season (and there have been six seasons released as of August 2022) has received less than a 90% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

Season seven of the series, which should premiere in 2023 or 2024, will be based on the seventh book of Gabaldon's series. It would be fair to say that if the series continues to be successful, Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone will likely be adapted for the silver screen by the end of the 2020s.
