What does Claudia mean when she says she wants to go home different?
She wants to do something important, and she wants to feel it. The difference she's talking about is an internal difference: Claudia wants to become a different person based on her experience and knowledge. She wants to do something that will change her, in a permanent way, and make her a person different from the person who had the boring life at home in Greenwich.
