Kit

He is Nita’s best friend and also her partner in crime. Kit is always by Nita’s side helping where he can. Just like Nita, Kit also possesses magic powers which he uses to help Nita save the world of the whales. He is a supportive friend who always covers up for Nita. Just like Nita, Kit had also gotten picked on by the bullies and that’s how he bonded with Nita. His parents allowed him to come with Nita’s family for their vacation after a lot of persuasion. Kit was capable of communicating with unalive things such as stones, cars, and telephone poles. Kit is also humble when Sreee praises him for fighting the lone power, he downplays the gesture as luck.

Nita

Nita is a young, compassionate teenage girl who is the protagonist in the story. Nita always goes up and beyond her means to save the world together with her friend Kit. Nita is a self-made wizard, a secret that she keeps from her family. While on vacation with her family, she finds time for adventure with Kit. She rescues and heals Sreee. She sacrifices herself as the silent lord to save the whales without knowing the implications. Nita is a victim of bullying at her school where she gets beaten and her things taken. Nita having bonded with Kit begged her parents to take Kit with them on their family vacation. She could communicate with any creature through the knowledge that she learned from the wizardry book. Nita was keeping their secret adventures with Kit from her mother fearing that if she knew she would stop them from going alone to the ocean. Nita is very courageous when she offers to help in fighting the lone power although she knows how troublesome the lone power is. She was capable of changing shape into a humpback whale since she shared her blood with Sreee during her healing.

Sreee

Sreee is a humpback whale wizard who gets attacked by sharks. She gets rescued and healed by Nita and thereafter becomes friends. She is the one that informs Nita about the Songs that bounds the lone power. She even takes Nita and Kit to find the other participants in the song. She was only two yet was already a candidate for a senior wizard which terrified her. Sreee was Nita and Kit’s tour guide through the sea telling them how the sea helps them in practicing their wizardry. Sreee just like Nita and Kit has taken it upon herself to save the sea world by asking Nita to help find other participants. She volunteered as the fourth lord in the song of the wizards.

Lone Power

Lone Power is the main antagonist who must be bounded to save the whale wizards. He has a lot of power and therefore one person alone cannot take him on. He kills and eats the celebrants and whales. He is known to prey on broken promises. A song has to be performed that involves a sacrifice for him to be bounded. He is determined to destroy the underwater where the whale wizards and gets bounded with the formation of the song. He is known for causing trouble both on the land and at sea and everything has to be done to stop him. Every creature fears him so much.

Ed

He is the master shark that terrorizes the whales. Their kind is known to live for a long time and does not die from natural courses. He becomes a reformed antagonist when he sacrifices himself in place of Nita. He helps Nita to save the whales by bounding the lone power. He was known for his endless humor and sarcasm. In the previous song, he ate the tenth whale which was the silent lord. He knew it was his duty to eat the Silent Lord and therefore claimed that he would rather do it willingly. Ed taunts Nita on how he would enjoy eating her up as part of the sacrifice. He became good friends with Nita and Kit and that changed him. He is seen to redeem himself when he offers to take Nita’s place by sacrificing himself to save the whale wizards.
