Why is getting her period so important to Margaret?
Margaret says that she wants to be "like everybody else," but students might note that "everybody else" in her life does not have periods—Gretchen and Nancy have only just gotten theirs, and Margaret doesn't seem to know much about the menstruation of any other girls her age.
