A Memorable Visit

Why are you interested in Boston University?


Its location sparked my interest in Boston University. I had lived in Cambridge before, and I knew the city of Boston as a familiar yet exciting place – a perfect location for college. Although I didn't know much about BU at the time, I decided to visit the campus.

The morning of my visit, I attended an information session for prospective students. I expected a dull presentation similar to those of other schools, but I was pleasantly surprised. The charismatic admissions officer drew a uniquely vivid picture of BU. For a student like myself, who is interested in multiple subjects and uncertain which major to choose, the school's wide curriculum seemed like a perfect choice. The large number of study abroad programs also interested me; it was clear that at BU, I would be able to fulfill my desire to spend time overseas.

My positive impressions of the university were solidified the same afternoon when my friend Y, a current student, showed me around campus. I met some of his friends and attended a psychology class taught by a Japanese professor. I also noticed the significant number of international students.
