The iron of the narrator’s brother
The narrator's brother is a satirical character who is not bothered by what is happening. The narrator is traumatized and saddened by the current events, especially police brutality. Paradoxically, the narrator's brother is interested in playing video games. The narrator tries to explain to his brother about the civil unrest, but he does not care.
The irony of the police
The police are the individuals given a constitutional responsibility of protecting citizens regardless of their ethnicity, color, or origin. Ironically, the police in America are discriminative when handling black people. George Floyd is a black man who is mishandled and killed at the hands of the police, who are supposed to protect him.
The Irony of the Health Care System
The USA’s health care system is paradoxical because, during the pandemic, it does exactly the opposite of people's expectations. The black Covid-19 patients are not given priority in hospital admissions. Therefore, the black people who are the victims of Covid-19 are isolated and left to nurse their pains in their pains. For instance, the narrator's father is bedridden in his house, coughing heavily.
