A Very Very Very Dark Matter Summary

A Very Very Very Dark Matter Summary

A Very Very Dark Matter follows Hans Christian Andersen in his life in Copenhagen as a famous author. However, he isn't the one writing his books. In his attic, he keeps a Congolese pygmy in a box, whom he forces to write stories for him. The last story he has made The Little Mermaid, is a great success. However, the public reading of it is disturbed as two strange, bloody figures stop him.

He receives a letter from someone that tells him they know his secret, and when he returns home, he finds a journalist sneaking in his attic. Andersen kills him after he gets information from who his source is. Anderson leaves for England, where he will be staying with his colleague, Charles Dickens. He stays there for five weeks. Charles also had a pygmy who was writing his works, though she died a year ago. Anderson then realizes that his pygmy doesn't have enough food to survive and is probably dead as well. This means that his career as a writer is over.

However, this hasn't happened. The two bloody figures are Belgian soldiers the pygmy will kill in fifty years. They have come to stop him, but he kills then instead. Anderson enters the room, and when he realizes he has a mission, he sets him free. The pygmy, named Marjory, leaves for Congo to warn his people and save them from the genocide they will go through.
