A Very Stable Genius Character List

Donald Trump

He is the 45th President of the United States and a member of the Republican political party. He used to be a businessman and television personality before he got into politics. The first few years of his presidency have been scrutinized in this book. The book attempts to tabulate a pattern in which Trump would fire or replace any officials or advisors who would try to control his instincts or educate him on any matter. He would usually employ officials and advisors who would tell him what he wants to hear. The book cites instances of how bureaucracy and fact-finding have failed to provide external restraints on Trump's demeanor.

Rex Tillerson

Rex Tillerson is an American engineer and energy executive. He served as the 69th United States Secretary of State under the Presidency of Donald Trump. Jim Mattis, the 26th US Secretary of Defense, and Tillerson were referred to as "dopes" and "babies" by Trump. Tillerson was later fired by the Trump administration.

Jim Mattis

Jim Mattis is a retired United States Marine Corps general. He served as the 26th US Secretary of Defence. During a 2017 meeting at the Pentagon, Rex Tillerson, the 69th US Secretary of State and Mattis were referred to as "dopes" and "babies" by Trump. Soon after, Mattis "retired" under suspicious conditions.

Robert Mueller

Robert Mueller is an American lawyer and government official. He served as the 6th Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was appointed as special counsel to investigate the influence of Russia in the 2016 United States Presidential elections. The report he released on the matter, widely known as The Mueller Report, is heavily criticized by Rucker and Leonnig.

John Kelly

John Kelly is a retired United States Marine Corps general. He served as the White House Chief of Staff under the Presidency of Donald Trump. The internal battles over immigration and the attempt by the Trump administration to replace Kelly are exposed by Rucker and Leonnig.
