Cburchill asked the speaker to summon the jouse today so he might deliver this speech. What makes the situation so important that this action must be taken right away?

Churchill's intent was to motivate.... to boost morale. The Germans were on their doorstep, action was necessary and unavoidable. Complete committment was integral to winning the war and destroying the threat of tyranny.
