BRITISH COLONIAL RULE

The French had a (somewhat) good working relationship with the First Nations in the Ohio Valley. When Nouvelle France fell and the British took control, did the First Nations have the same working relationship with the British? Explain.

The British did not have a good relationship with native peoples. The British tried to control native populations instead of respecting them as separate nations. The British used a divide and conquer strategy to exploit native populations.
