Yellow Dog Summary

Yellow Dog Summary

The protagonist of this story is Xan Meo, who happens to be a well-known actor and writer, and the son of Mick Meo, a London gangster. Xan is brutally assaulted, for mentioning the name of Joseph Andrews, one of his father’s rivals. He becomes increasingly estranged from his wife after brain damage affects his personality.

Meanwhile, a plot is also being hatched against Xan. The woman who has been hatching this plan attempts to wreck his marriage, to no avail. Meanwhile, it is revealed that Xan is Andrews’s biological son. After learning of this, Cora, the girl who has been plotting to destroy Xan, steps back.

Andrews plans to scare Xan by having his wife assaulted. Meanwhile, Clint Smoker, a senior reporter has a conversation with Cora, and in rage, kills Andrews as well as Simon Fingers.

This story consistently explores the theme of male violence and deals with much of the taboo subjects with unabashed candour, exploring the parallel theme of ethical decline.
