Beauty Smith, he's not really good looking, wants to buy White Fang. Grey Beaver won't sell. Beauty brings Whisky until Grey Beaver drinks all his money away. Now broke, Grey Beaver is forced to sell White Fang.

Grey Beaver sold white Fang because he needed to take care of his land and his people. Though Grey Beaver did that White Fang still had loyal for Grey beaver.
