Why does billy never call his sisters by name

I've looked high and low and cannot find the answer either..... maybe their place in the novel as characters are sonsidered such small roles that the author felt it unneccessary to name them..... I'll keep looking but leave your other question open. Others will be here answering questions, and they need to know that it hasn't been answered.
