What is the biggest problems faced by Billy in the story?

Is it his difficulty getting the dogs, training them to hunt coons, the death of Rubin, winning the hunting contest, or the grief of losing his dogs?

To me, I would honestly say all of the above. But the one he probably took most to his heart was the death of his dogs.

i would also say the death of his dogs little ann and old dan but its important to also remember the other problrms likr rubins death,the contest , and training for the contest.
