Examine the role of disguise in Twelfth Night

The characters in the play, Twelfth Night, use disguise to take on different roles and to trick those around them. In doing this, Shakespeare illustrates the fact that the audience, like the characters in his play, might play different roles in our own lives, and that we are also susceptible to the role playing of others.
