Basically Mitch remembers a project called "Greenhouse" which provided the poor with mental health services. He recalls Morrie's counter-culture endeavors. Mitch sees that Morrie had almost created his own culture full of art, friends and meaning. Mitch juxtaposes this with his own pursuits of money and meaningless enrichment.
