What are some similarities and differences between characters in the book?

I need to know three similarities and three differences between two characters in the book. I also need text evidence to suport the similarity / difference, and you don't have to add a page number where I could find that, but it would be helpful.     Answer needed asap.

Edwin and Garvey are prety much the same. Edwin cares a bit more about Cole than Garvey. cole's mom cares more about Cole then his father. Rosey has a big heart like Edwin. Cole's dad is just a piece of crap. peter does not notice how much work people are doing for him and what does he do. try to commint souocide. Peter's mom and dad are very protctive of Peter.
