To Kill a Mockingbird

Why did Dolphus Raymond not go into the courthouse when Tom's case was going on?

He sits outside the courthouse and offers Dill something to drink when is stomach feels sick. He does not go in though.

Just like Dill, it made Dolphus Raymond sick to see the horrible way Tom Robinson is being treated during the trial. He'd rather stay outside than go in and watch him be unfairly tried.
