Who is the mockingbird in this chapter? Why? (chapter 15)

Tom Robinson is a mockingbird figure in the book. He only wanted to help Mayella and is being punished for it. He sits in Jail while an angry mob waits outside to lynch him. Tom represents a sense of kind innocence that is vulnerable to forces outside of his control.
