The conflict between Scout and Miss. Caroline really doesn't make much sense. Scout is young, precocious, and has a certain gift for speaking her mind. Miss. Caroline is a new teacher, and she feels Scout's precocious behavior and corrections are disrespectful and inappropriate. Unfortunately, neither one seems to budge or attempt to understand the other.
