“What does Atticus mean when he tells Scout to “Try fighting with your head for a change…”?

Scout gets into physical alterations with kids that tease her or make her angry. Scout is developing similar values as Atticus but does not know how to express her views. She lets her emotions get the better of her and fights. Atticus tells Scout to use her intelligence to fight unfairness rather than her fists.
