As readers, we can infer that Scout is beginning to see how Boo’s relationship with his family has much in common with Dill's. Their situations are different, but the results are the same. They both have a lack of love, and they both choose to interact with the Finches. Through these two characters, the reader comes to understand that Scout and Jem have what they've always wanted...... a happy, loving home.
