How does aunt Alexandra's absence reduce Scout's need to become more "girly"? in the movie.
Aunt Alexandra wants Scout to be as "girly" as she can be as would become a Southern Lady in that time period. Scout has no desire to act in such a fashion and does not want to be "girly" as she develops her own personality.
