How does jem and scout repersent the mockingbird?

Although Jem and Scout are not major mockingbird symbols, they do have aspects of their personality that represent the mockingbird. They are both kind and well-meaning children who would help people when given a chance. They really do not want to harm anyone. Bob Ewell does commit the sin of trying to hurt them.
