To Kill a Mockingbird is narrated in the first-person by the novel's main character, Scout Finch. Scout narrates the novel as an adult looking back on a period of her childhood, thus, providing the reader with a glimpse of her childhood innocence, in addition to the lessons she learned from an adult perspective.
