To Kill a Mockingbird

Do you think ft's a good or bad idea? Have you ever seen this done in a school situation?

Atticus explains to Scout that in regard to the Ewells it is sometimes better to bend

the law a little in special cases.' Some people would agree, some would disagree with this statement. Do you think ft's a good or bad idea? Have you ever seen this done in a school situation?

Certainly he's right. Is Atticus ever wrong? Life is not black and white, it is shades of grey. People are all different and some of us have extra ordinary challenges which must be taken into consideration. I once had a girl that was dying in one of my classes. She loved English but was too weak to complete the semester. I gave her an A. To hell with the rules in that situation. The A made her happy before she died and that was all that counted.
